VFC PestMan Updates International Pest Control Trends at FAOPMA Pest Summit 2025

The FAOPMA Pest Management Conference (Federation of Asian and Oceania Pest Managers’ Associations) was held in Penang, Malaysia. This is the largest event in the pest control industry across the Asia–Oceania region, attracting thousands of delegates, businesses, and experts from nearly 30 countries.

Since its establishment, FAOPMA has connected pest management professionals worldwide, promoting collaboration, knowledge exchange, and best practices aligned with market demands.

The conference created opportunities for associations, manufacturers, PCO service providers, consultants, trainers, and academics to connect and share knowledge, experience, industry trends, and advanced technologies within the sector. It serves as a leading platform for addressing pest management challenges at both regional and global levels, while also strengthening the pest control community and promoting comprehensive professional development within the pest management industry.

This year’s conference carried the theme “From Reactive To Proactive – The Evolution Of Pest Management”, emphasizing innovation within the pest management industry toward a sustainable future. VFC – PestMan had the valuable opportunity to update global trends, connect with industry experts, expand partnerships with equipment suppliers, and reinforce its pioneering position in applying advanced pest management methods, environmentally friendly products and chemicals, as well as modern technologies and equipment within Vietnam’s pest management industry.

At the conference, VFC – PestMan gained valuable insights from Pest Control industry experts regarding current difficulties and challenges, along with strategies, practical solutions, and future perspectives for innovating pest management approaches in the era of rapid technological advancement. Discussions also covered proactive prevention methods and specialized control solutions for pests such as mosquitoes, ants, cockroaches, rodents, termites, beetles, birds, and bed bugs. In addition, the conference inspired new mindsets and greater awareness among professional pest managers toward sustainable development through topics including climate change impacts, biological pesticide applications, and the transition from labor-intensive, chemical-dependent, reactive pest control methods toward technology-driven solutions utilizing smart monitoring systems, sensors, artificial intelligence (AI), and remote proactive management.

In addition, the conference also provided valuable guidance and practical insights into managing and operating pest management businesses. All attending delegates received certificates of participation.

During the three-day conference, an exhibition fair was also held, gathering pest management companies from many countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, South Korea, China, and Singapore, with more than 60 exhibition booths showcasing leading products, technologies, equipment, and services in today’s global pest management industry.
