Snake awareness and control training program for resorts

As part of our commitment to stand alongside and support our customers in combating pests such as snakes, which are commonly encountered in homes, workplaces, and commercial operations, PestMan recently conducted a comprehensive training session on snake awareness and control at Laguna Lang Co Da Nang.

Overview of snake species

According to statistics, more than 200 snake species have been identified and documented in Vietnam, including 22 species of sea snakes and 184 terrestrial snake species. This demonstrates the remarkable diversity in both the number and distribution of snake species throughout Vietnam.

Regarded as deadly creatures, even those without lethal venom, these reptiles still instill deep fear in humans. Therefore, identifying signs of their presence, distinguishing snake species by their bite marks to ensure timely and necessary intervention, and controlling these reptiles have become a top priority—especially in high-traffic areas featuring extensive vegetation designed for natural greenery, such as resorts.

Recognizing the importance of this matter, the snake awareness and control training program was organized by PestMan, receiving active participation from Mr. David Campion – Director of Environment and Community at Laguna Resort, along with representatives from various departments. Special emphasis was placed on staff groups most likely to encounter snakes, such as security personnel, golf course attendants, the landscape department, and gardeners...

During the training session, various departments of Laguna Resort received specific guidance on the characteristics of these reptiles, species commonly found in the area, identification through bite marks, as well as first-aid protocols in the event of an accident:

The training session received highly positive feedback from both the management board and staff of Laguna Resort due to its practical value in improving guest safety and service conditions throughout the resort.
